| Membership Terms & Conditions Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of O Haeng Taekwon-Do Hakwon. O Haeng Taekwon-Do Hakwon has a strong emphasis on the moral aspects of the martial art as reflected in its tenets: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-control and Indomitable Spirit. Members are expected to uphold these values inside and outside training as their behaviour reflects on both O Haeng Taekwon-Do Hakwon and International Taekwon-Do. On becoming a member, Members agree to be bound by the Code of Conduct, Rules and Regulations, and these Terms & Conditions. Please read the following terms carefully. General Terms & Conditions Members are required to agree to these Terms & Conditions at the point of purchase of their membership. If you are purchasing membership on behalf of a Member, you shall be deemed to be acting with the consent of that Member. You are responsible for ensuring that the Member for whom you are making the purchase agrees to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. O Haeng Taekwon-Do Hakwon shall be entitled to refuse an application from, or suspend or cancel the membership of, any Member at its absolute discretion. Membership fees will be paid by the Member on the required basis and is non-refundable. The Member’s membership will commence on the date on which it is purchased and automatically renew monthly thereafter. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions guarantees a Member will be entitled to membership renewal. Once expired or terminated, all rights and benefits of membership will cease. A Member can terminate their membership at any time by informing O Haeng Taekwon-Do Hakwon. No refund of the membership fee will be given in these circumstances. O Haeng Taekwon-Do Hakwon reserves the right to re-brand or re-name membership packages at any time. Membership is personal to each Member and cannot be transferred to another person or resold under any circumstances. The Member can contact International Taekwon-Do and request a transfer of their annual membership to another International Taekwon-Do affiliated club. O Haeng Taekwon-Do Hakwon and International Taekwon-Do reserves the right to suspend a Member’s membership and/or any associated benefits for a period of time, to withdraw its use and such benefits completely and/or to terminate the membership if the Member breaches any of these Terms & Conditions (or if there are reasonable grounds to suspect such a breach) or otherwise misuses their membership. No obligation exists to make any refund to a Member if their Membership and/or any associated benefits are suspended or withdrawn. O Haeng Taekwon-Do Hakwon shall not have any liability to a Member in respect of a failure to carry out or delay in carrying out any obligations under these terms & conditions caused by any circumstances outside its reasonable control. O Haeng Taekwon-Do Hakwon may, at its discretion, update or revise its membership terms & conditions from time to time. It is the Member’s responsibility to keep their personal information up-to-date. Privacy The Member acknowledges that personal information is required to be provided to register for membership, including the Member’s name, address, email, phone number, date of birth and gender. In registering for membership on the the Member agrees that: O Haeng Taekwon-Do Hakwon may collect and use the Member’s personal information for: Administering the Member’s membership. The general administration of International Taekwon-Do, including in connection with organising and administering Taekwon-Do tournaments in New Zealand. statistical analysis and research. participant welfare purposes, (including the sharing of such information with their club). complying with any legal or regulatory obligations. Use in newsletters and other related communications. The promotion of the sport of Taekwon-do generally, including on both O Haeng Taekwon-Do Hakwon and International Taekwon-Do’s website, social media and networking websites. To contact Members via email with relevant news and marketing content where the Member has opted in to receiving such communications For the furtherance of the purposes stated above, O Haeng Taekwon-Do Hakwon may share the Member’s personal information (in whole or in part) with third parties including to (i) Sport NZ, NZ Sports Drug Agency or any other similar organisation, and (ii) commercial third parties. Personal information including a Member’s name, date of birth and current and past organisation registrations will be shared between clubs for the purposes of registrations and transfers. This does not include information about how the Member may be contacted (and for the avoidance of doubt this contact information can only be accessed by the Member, and the organisations they belong to). a failure to provide the requested personal information means that O Haeng Taekwon-Do Hakwon may be unable to fulfill their request for membership. If the Member wishes to obtain confirmation that O Haeng Taekwon-Do Hakwon holds personal information about them and to access that information, or if the Member wishes to request a correction to their personal information they can do so by contacting O Haeng Taekwon-Do Hakwon. A Member may also amend their personal information associated with your account by updating your account details in the JustGo Membership System. personal information provided via the JustGo Membership System is also governed by the JustGo privacy policy, available at https://justgo.com/privacy-policy/. Health & Safety The Member acknowledges that Taekwon-Do is a contact sport and that injuries can occur. The Member takes it upon themselves the risks arising while participating in Taekwon-Do- related activities The Member agrees to: Take reasonable care of their own health and safety. Take reasonable care that their acts or omissions do not adversely affect the health and safety of other persons. Comply, as far as they are reasonably able, with any reasonable instruction that is given (including instructions given to comply with obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015; and Make known any relevant medical and/or dietary information to the club that holds their registration. Photo Use Approval The Member gives permission for their name and/or image to appear on the O Haeng Taekwon-Do Hakwon website and on other social media or networking websites. The Member’s name and/or image may not however be used as a “hero” (i.e. standalone) image for any advertising or promotional material without their written consent and, where required by law, the written consent of a parent or guardian. The Member may request that their name and/or image be removed for privacy reasons. Use of JustGo Membership System International Taekwon-Do has contracted JustGo to use its membership system software. The Member agrees to comply with JustGo’s User Terms of Use available at https://justgo.com/terms-of-service/. Financial Commitment The Member agrees to pay all fees and costs associated with their participation with O Haeng Taekwon-Do Hakwon as and when they fall due. |
